Lars Henriksson – Baroque oboe/music management

Lars has been active as a freelance baroque oboist for almost 30 years. During this time he has worked on a regular basis with leading baroque orchestras such as Academy of Ancient Music, Concerto Copenhagen (which he co-founded in 1991), Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Concerto Köln, Freiburger Barockorchester, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra.

His touring activities have led him to most of the great concert halls over 6 continents and he has worked under distinguished directors such as Gustav Leonhardt, Christopher Hogwood, Ton Koopman, Reinhard Goebel, Rene Jacobs, William Christie and Philippe Herreweghe.

Between 2002 and 2013 Lars was employed by the Danish baroque orchestra Concerto Copenhagen (CoCo) as ”sales and artistic manager”, where he was involved in most of the day to day running of the orchestra. His present position mainly involves artistic advice and sales support.

Tomax Artists is a new venture in which he will use the wealth of experience from these two fields to promote a handpicked selection of outstanding colleagues.
